I'll start by saying I'm new to photography. Not only was this the first time out with my camera, it was also my first time out with a DSLR. I ventured out during my lunch break and only had about 30 minutes. Please give criticism and pointers to improve where needed.

I like the 1st shot of the tree. It's well composed compared to the 2nd shot where the tree just fills the frame. The 3rd shot with the flag as the subject looks pretty good too and I like the way the colours break away from the dull coloured surrounding.

Good effort and thanks for sharing.
