Hey guys, i was doing my laundry today and realized that the basment that the washing machine is in is kinda creepy, so i brought my camera down and took a shot and wanted to illustrate the creepy-ness with texture

That is nuts man!!! I would say that you have acheived your goal by creating one of the craziest creepy pictures I have seen yet! Great job!!

What did you do for PP?

I like the lighting. I would have gone with a more grainy look though.

Thanks Brutus, as far as the PP goes its pretty simple. Gradient adjustments layer, channel mixer to work on the black and white, and some curves and levels, contrast and lightning and then running around the block a few time and looking for textures that could work in the image, found this scratched up metal thing, they are building right next door and then i found this rusty metal, which gives the little "vignette" if you will




I wouldnt and i didnt, the reason for that you would have lost way to much detail in the image and if you where to print it would look horrible. adding more grain in combination with the scratches that are there already would have overpowered the entire image, and thus capturing way to much attention from the whole concept....

Although I have a question: How did you get the "scratches" on the photo? The scary feeling.

Some red lettering..perhaps blood-soaked

"Basement Of The Dead" by George A. Romero and you'd have an instant hit. Maybe "The Grudge 3" or something like that..lol.

You definately achieved, what you were trying to do there! The only thing i would change, is perhaps the brightness of the light in the back left of the center!
