Decided to try some near night photography. This was taken just as the sky was starting to light up, before sunrise. Then I tried some selective saturation. Let me know what you think!

The desaturated portion has nice contrast. Though, I think I would probably have removed the color from the sidewalk as well. The line where it meets the street is kind of abrupt, in my opinion.

Also, I think this would benefit a lot from straightening -- it's rather tilted. Right now the street looks mostly level, but the building does not. Since the subject here is really the building, I would probably rotate it counter-clockwise until the building looks straight.

Nice job on the desaturation, though -- that requires more effort than I'm usually willing to put in...
