HDR with a little tone mapping.
For the ones who want to know:
This is the steamtrain I took when I was on holiday in England. I took this train in Dungeness, Kent to New Romney.
The train is from 1926. Build by: Davey Paxman & Co of Colchester.

Took this with an Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Just curious about your opinions.

Hi PuddingNL,

allow me then to be the first I just saw this picture now and I like it.

The composition is good and the background left side offer some perspective. The plumes of steam makes the image a little less static. It's certainly a beautiful engine.

Since I'm looking at a thumbnail of the image, there are probably some subtleties that I am missing. I do see a little bit of haloing and generally my personal tastes do not lean towards HDR..or rather HDr that shows as HDR, just share some preconceived bias I have.

I find myself wondering if it the image would have been more "imposing" if you had dipped the perspective a little..e.g. taken it from a lower angle perhaps.
