Wow - some pretty great shots in here! I like janern's sunset!

My shots aren't looking like I'd put them on my walls but still they might be interesting.

As a firefighter close to a river (the quite well known river rhine) we have boats, too.
Image

This one has seen the water surface from below for a longer time.

"Hi sirs! Do you know the way to the river rhine?"
Image

And the full view. You don't see ships on streets that often.

(Another picture of this ship frome above. Shot by another firefighter: http://www.feuerwehr-speyer.org/joomla/ The black / red building behind it is our fire station)

Just for interest's sake, another old Venetian one, taken from the Rialto Bridge. Not the same boat but the same urgency.

It seems that quite a few of us have been to this wonderful city.

Silly question, no doubt asked before. How did these and the motor pics end up under "still life" ?

It seemed the appropriate place to me with previous posting, large medium and small boats.

Cheers

I agree with you entirely 4xxxx. I was just wondering why all these "transport" subjects appear under "still life" as they are all made for moving - although I suppose they stand still too.

I guess it's just down to what I would normally understand as "still life."
