Hey,
Bought this fruit yesterday and thought i might snap a few before i ate it.

Main light from a window facing north and i used my 430 EX on a cable to bounce-fill the shadows a bit.

I might add that in my opinion, this is the best tasted brand of pears ever...

I'd like to know how you set this up. Did you post process this to remove any background or was it just a very dark background?

Sorry, i forgot...

I took a chair and put it on the table.
Then i took a darkblue/black bedsheet and hung over the chair so that it fell smoothly down on the table. That way i didnt get any crease (i think thats the proper english word) on the bedsheet.

I i had the darkblue (almost black) cloth behind and under the pear.

I did some modification, but not that much. Firstly i increeced the exposure a little bit, then i opened the image in PS and sharpened the pear a bit in LAB-mode (only sharpening the brightness channel). Then i used the Clone Stamp Tool to remove dust from the bedsheet.

Crop and text.
