Decided to take a picture of this cyclops I made out of clay in High School. I put it on a leather surface and tried to involve both textures. The colors went together well, but there isn't much contrast. Let me know what you think.





These were taken with the kit 18-55mm lens that comes with the D40. It was tripod mounted, remote shutter release. Manual mode with the aperture wide open at 55mm. The exposure was somewhere between 1 and 2 seconds. As a light source I put a paper towel over a lamp shade and painted the light evenly to create softer, more even lighting.

That is an interesting figure... Haha! I'm impressed that you made it! I could never do that. I like the colors. Was that from you white balance setting or from the light surrounding it?
