 Post subject: First Go at Still Life

I am not sure if these pictures are quite still life, but i would thought i would have a go, at the water droplet pictures like i have seen done by Mark-H and another guy, whos name i can't remeber! Maybe Shagrath!

Colour is spot on, but I can't help feeling that the composition could be better, whether it means having something hovering over it etc. There's only so much you can say about a ripple I guess. Nice pics overall.

Thanks, i am in love with that blue as-well! There is a big secret to that, which i only found out by accident! Also when you say not very still, do you mean i could have used a faster shutter speed?

I think he means not very "still-life." Still-life photos are usually inanimate objects, where as water is definately not inanimate. But, either way, they are great shots. I'm curious...is the blue from post-processing or WB or possibly a filter?

Ok guys, my bad, i think i put these in the wrong section :oops: . Also the Blue, is straight out of the camera. I used flash to get that deep, deep, oh so lovely, blue, combined with a light blue piece of paper underneath the glass baking dish!
