I had a good day today ... plenty of subject matter !

No HDR this is mostly using LR and playing with clarity and vibrance as well as the usual PP work.

They are all hand held with T2i + 10-22mm + UV filter. Some shot on P some on AV. PP work to shape, level, crop, exposure corrections, virance, clarity and usual sharpening and tone curves.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts and criticisms

Beautiful shots, those are some pretty nice cars! No HDR? Well in that case you did a pretty nice job
By the way, I did notice some vignetting, in some shots stronger than in others, was that intended or does your lens vignette normally?

Yes the vignetting is intentional. It's an effect added in pp.

Hi Rob

Hope you don't mind me joining in. I thought maybe you couldn't resist the car show, seeing it's only a short distance away. I was looking out for a Bond-like character, but you did a good job of merging into the crowds. Generally, I found it pretty hopeless trying to get a good shot with all the people, and the cars only a metre or so away from each other. Anyway, here's my efforts.

All with Nikon D40 and Sigma 10-20 lens.

Haha it's good to see you shot some of the same cars I did ! That 59chevy was pretty awesome!
Also the impala was one of my faves!

Nice images, angles, and processing. Reminds me why UWA lenses can be so cool.

Now those are nice cars! (Rob - much nicer than the lotus pics!) I like the reflections in the hubcaps of the first car and on the side of the 9th car, the interior of #11, and of course - the 59 Corvette, just to name a few... The bright green one was a little too much - reminds me of one I saw here last summer that was gold glitter and hard to look at on a sunny day!
Audioman, you and Rob together do a good job of making the rest of us jealous... Looking at the first picture, I would have been looking closer at the car next to the car you took a picture of, but maybe you were not looking at the car?? I really like your second picture! Looks like you both had a great day.
(Probably a dumb) Question for both of you - Many of these cars were made in America - with the steering wheel on the left side. But in one of the pictures there is a car with a steering wheel on the left next to a little car that seems to have the steering wheel on the right. Rob -am I right that the steering wheel on the Lotus is on the right? Which side of the street do they drive on in NZ?

There is a Lot of American import here and a close association with the USA as such a lot of left hand drive and American muscle cars but in NZ we drive on the left. Due to the British influence. NZ is still a colony. This is a fact I keep reminding the kiwis of ! Much to their disdain!

Also you just need to mention that in was the English rugby team that ended their world domination and the atmosphere heats up a little!
