So here are some pictures I took using my new sigma 85mm f/1.4 for canon. The first problem I must say is that the lens has a very hard time focusing on my 5D mark II almost impossible, I was forced to shoot all of these photos on manual focus

No I am not too good with manual focus so some of the photos may be a little off but I took this lens through some very low light tests using only natural light from the sun set around 6 PM and candles along with minor over head lights hence the reddish color.

The lens preforms flawlessly optically on Full Frame minus some color fringing and purple fringing at at f/4 - f/8 though I don't see myself using this lens at those apertures.

The build quality is amazing and nears my L lenses. The lens hood is pretty good but should be a bit longer and the extension is too long so I'm not sure

I have yet to test the lens on my 7D but I will put some photos up soon. Most of these photos were shot

5D Mark II | 1/160's | ISO 3200 | f/1.4

Let me know if you have any questions and the AF is super fast in the day but is really slow on FF at night though it works flawlessly on a Cropped sensor like the 7D.... More to come

Hi elijahschaffer,

Thanks for the contribution. I've edited the thread title to give the full name of the lens (have I got it right?) and also to remove the reference to the Canon mount. That way other owners of the identical optics outfitted for other mounts can add posts to this thread as well. Duly added to the Sigma section of the Index thread. 8)

Bob.
