Just thought I'd create a topic on the Canon 18-200mm, my versatile companion that has given me a lot of great shots.
I was testing close-up photography with this lens and it's pretty cool.
Here's a pic of an 1:400 model of a Boeing 747-400 at 200mm at the closest focus of 45 cm, not cropped:

I love the lens, even though it has its flaws, like the massive light fall-off in the corners at 200mm and the barrel distortion at 18mm, but I mostly shoot in RAW when I use this lens, so that's correctable in Canon's software
