If you're shooting under tungsten lights indoors, simply shifting to a low ISO and stopping your lens down will achieve the same effect. Unless you're dealing with spotlights, indoor lighting can be easily turned into long-exposure compositions

Of course, if you're looking for shallow depth of field with those long exposures, 3-stop or greater ND filters would definitely be recommended.
