I mean this to be in no way similar to the "going pro" section.

I thought I'd put the feelers out and see if there is much interest in seeing a forum subsection for photography holidays/outings/tutoring.

It could perhaps act as;
1) a source of unbiased reviews
2) advertising for those offering the service (source of income for Gordon?!)
3) a directory for those looking for a trip
4) a way of contacting the service providers (through PMs perhaps)

I know I'm interested, I've been wanting to get away to Scotland for a while now but would like to get some expert tutoring rather than spend a lot on the trip only to not make the most of it.

Holidays/outings photography ia a pretty wide scope depending on one's interest. I would imagine everyone would goggle the place they are visiting and obtain information on their particular interest.

I would not like the forum to be messd up with promotional junk from commercial companies.

I think you're doing a discredit to photography tutors and courses, they're not spammers. I accept the point that it could become cluttered, but I think that could be quite easily managed with the same heading hierarchy the site uses now.

If a private person/company chooses to advertise they'd be subject to some basic rules.

The thing I'd like to see is a sort of safeguard for consumers - when I go googling for courses, I've got nothing but biased testimonials and website quality to base my opinion on.

Anyway, I think I've lost this one, there's a lack of interest haha!
