Not sure if it is in the right forum but I hope people will still help.
I have a bad right eye so I am using my left eye to look through the viewfinder. I have a canon 500D camera and it is quite annoying having to use my left eye because I do not see very well through it and often don't see the information shown on the bottom of the viewfinder. In the booklet, it shows the extras you can buy and one is a lengthening piece for the viewfinder. It is the EP-EX 15 II and I am wondering if this will help against the problem that I have. If someone could help me on this it would be much appreciated.

Hello fellow dutchman, welcome to the forums!
As for the accesories, I wouldn't know (I'm a Nikon shooter), but you're certainly not alone.

We had a poll a while ago, and I think 30% of the members here used their left eye to shoot. A notable photo celeb is Joe mcnally.

Look for his video, called "joe mcnally the grip" (should be on youtube).

Thanks for the video, Marijn. My left eye is a fair bit better than my right, but I've always found it more comfortable to use my right eye.

Whatever you do, be careful.

I once bought a rubber viewfinder cup and it wasn't much cop.
