Hi all, im off to watch the motogp this weekend, just wondered if anyone else on here was going & could poss give me a little advice on a decent setting etc for the pics i hope to get.

This will be my first attempt at DSLR bike pics, so i hope i can manage some kind of decent results.

I will be using my D90, 70-300vr & in shutter priority,

Thanks in advance, ill post my attempts next week if any turn out to be worth it?

Even if you want to get a blurred background you are still going to have to use a very fast shutter speed because of how fast the bikes will be going. I would suggest spending the first few laps setting up your camera and adjusting your settings as you go along :D

Wow, nice work. Love the Rizla Suzuki shot( Bautista?) and the 2nd Repsol Honda shot, is that Dani Pedrosa?

Watched the race on TV, looked like a tough day at the office for the riders.

I cant say anything about technical quality, but - if you look at all photos, they are narly same, Try to get it from different angles (next time :) )

i dont know if you must sit from start to end only on ine place, but i would probably not.

Thanks for the comments, these pics are just a selection of the 1129 pic's i took over the 3 days.

Dingo27mobile - I have some shots the other way but i spent the time at various spots on the outfield not in the infield of the track (hence why these are the angle they are).

Yes maxjj, its Bautista, but the repsol honda is Dovi's (Danny is injured)
