I am having difficulty finding how I shoot stills in 16:9. I primarily want my photos for my screensavers and HD TV. This is my first SLR.

In camera, you can't. You'll need to crop after the fact or insert black bars on the pictures (to retain their 3:2 ratio). Perhaps in the future camera manufacturers will output intelligently formatted images from the HDMI port...

My screensaver program deals with the 3:2 ratio so I get a full screen. That's all I need for that. I now understand the principle and figure that's why I could find the more consumer oriented 16:9 "point and shoot" setting.
