So guys, once again i need you help!

I am going to the Maldives on Tuesday and i would like to hear if i should use any specific settings.....
Maldives if you don't know, is all these small tropical islands. Crystal blue water and white sandy beaches. I gonna' be on one of them. :D
So should i use any specific settings, or any filters like UV, POL....?

Thanks! :)

Sounds like a great chance to use a CPL to me, especially if the weather is nice and sunny!

If the beaches are sandy and you want a properly exposed scene you'll need to overexpose by about a stop from what your camera wants to do, especially with white beaches. Any time you're shooting near water a CPL is useful but keep in mind it won't cut out harsh reflections, only minimal ones. The CPL will definitely help bring out the greens and blues in the plants, water, and sky.

Enjoy your trip!

Have fun. I am heading to the same ocean tomorrow for a vacation in Mauritius. I plan to do a lot of macro photography, so hope to have a lot of nice shots on my return.

I bought the D10 too! I hear the reefs are better in the Maldives than in Mauritius. The reefs in Mauritius are great, but not very colourful.

We can compare D10 shots in a couple of weeks...
