I wanted to focus on Harvey (my dawg) but as hes approching me it seems hes gone out of focus? Come can i take a pic like this?

Hi

Canon cameras have an autofocus option called AI Servo. In this mode, the camera constantly autofocuses a moving subject, ideal for sports photography for example.

Check out if your camera has a similar AF mode.

It's called AF-C on your D90. It probably is on AF-A by default.

Have a read of pages 54 and 173 in the D-90 Users Manual, they explain a bit about the auto focus modes and when to use each setting. For the shot you are trying to achieve read about AF-C (as Citruspers suggests) and 3D tracking.

Think ive posted this thread twice sum how!!

But yea, il give it a blast, ive sin the setting but havent had a chance to use it. Now i no should have no probs.
