Hello all,

I love love baby's pictures fashion on szafeczka.com. And i tried to shot same that but the result not good. How can i setting in my gear - canon 50D + 18-200 lens kit? What kind of lens Filter I must use?

The images you posted (especially the second one) have shallow depth of field so when the lens is focused on the subject (people) the background is out of focus.

Depth of field (DOF) is minimised by using a long focal length (200mm in your case) and a wide aperture (f/5.6 is the max you can use at 200mm on your lens)

So select aperture priority mode and select f/5.6 (or use the portrait preset). Zoom in to 200mm. Change the ISO until shutter speed faster than 1/(200 *1.6) e.g 1/320 to prevent camera shake.

Shoot as the sun is going down. The two pics you posted seem to be side lit to enhance the shadows so arrange youself in the same way.

Finally look on the internet (Google etc) for photoshop techniques that emulate Kodak Portra film and other de-saturation methods
