Thanks Khol :)

yeah I am going to try and find a location with either really grungy dirty bricks and reshoot for my portfolio, there's an old disused tunnel that I know of as well where the walls are covered in Graffiti, the only problem is the drunks / druggies / thugs hang out there so I will need to try and catch it when it's empty one time - it's about 15 miles away though (where I grew up rather than where I live now) so not somewhere I can just pop out to every day to find the right time.

I will go on a location scout over the weekend though and let you know how I get on :)

Soooo, I submitted my entry pretty early this month and did not really pay close attention to the topic. Anyway, I was inspired by a lot of the other entries, so I messed around a little with this image. I kind of liked it, thought I'd share!

Image

Camera Model: Nikon D80
Lens and focal length: Nikkor 50mm f1.8
Aperture: f1.8
Shutter Speed: 1/50th Sec
Sensitivity: 500 ISO
Post processing: Crop, lots of lightroom jiberish, some CS3 magic, and a touch of Jack Daniels to top off the evening.

I think your submission is good too! Very creative and interesting. And you have that ability to break from the pack and do very unusual and compelling things...like building your own skyscraper last time. And shallow life....your submission is great too....how do you get that far from the camera in time to get set up?

Well I got a few tricks up my sleve.. :p

If you like my picture, feel free to check out the rest on My Flickr!

its actually a part of a series I did.

Unfortunately I am very short of time right now, so I cant make any more pictures for a while..

A big room, with tall white walls, a white blanket nailed to the wall so everything was white.

Camera on a tripod a few meters away, and I danced like crazy while the camera took the pictures.

I am glad you like that one too, you know I actually didnt use a tripod for that one :O!

Bjorn: Thats a really nice picture right there!! I dont mean anything with it, but you got that kind of psycho-look in that picture. You'd fit in a Tarantinomovie !

*speaks in Italian tone* Thanks, my friend, I really appreciate that. You better vote for me, or else... capiche? 8)
Just kidding. I'm not much of an actor nor do I really like being in front of cameras, so you won't see me in a movie, probably.

I like your picture shallowlife, well done!

I like that shot mate!

It's almost like an Urbex shot, very dramatic indeed.

I prefer that shot also orsan, and I hope you keep a dust sheet over the camera whilst you work :) :)

I am surprised that there doesnt seem to be more entries for this month. I wonder if there will be a last minute rush of submissions, or i wonder if many are not entering this month simply because they would like to remain anonymous and not show their faces. Still there is still plenty to time.

Unfortunately, i wont find out the winner of last months assignment until i return from my holiday.
Im off to Marrakesh tomorrow ( gosh im so very very excited my first holiday with my new camera) im gonna take pictures of anything and everything.yippeee.

Anyway good luck to everybody,
Au revoir sue. :D :D
