Planned this shot out for a few days until I could gather the materials needed to execute it. I was looking to go with a double whammy with the reflection theme and have a literal and emotional translation for it.

For full size version, click here

Camera Model: Nikon D80
Lens and focal length: 18-55 VR set to 55 mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/15 and 1/60
Sensitivity: ISO 100
Post processing: Two exposures combined in photomatix since it was a highly contrasted scene. Brought into Aperture afterwards for small adjustments and sharpening.

I took a picture of my daughter's eye while she is looking at the glass sliding door with my initials JZA on it. I call this "looking through the eyes of love"...(was that a title of a song?) ok. I will call it " looking through the eyes of my daughter".

my first submission for a monthly assignment:

a shot of midtown manhattan taken from long island city last night.

Image

taken with 24-105L, focal length 24mm at f7.1 exposure 25s 100 ISO. Only post-processing has been to tweak the white balance and contrast etc a touch in lightroom.

EDIT: I've added [img]..[/img] tags so that the image displayes properly. Bob.
