Its great to see so many awesome entries. I got the 6D a few days ago, still trying to get a nice photo to fit the theme with it, but weather isn`t helping. Tried the last couple of mornings straight after nightshift for sunrise lit photos, but the weather wasn`t helping. I was hoping to avoid putting up something from the hdd, still got tonight and tomorrow.

Have to say that I agree with a few others here. The monthly assignment is a specific encouragement to get off my backside and get out there and take photographs, sometimes of things that I would not normally look at. The site has many other threads for posting other pics, great and not so great, but hopefully always interesting to someone. There is also a lot of discussion about kit. The only thing that we don't do a lot of is decent constructive criticism.

There are more than enough of us to fill the monthly assignment with many more pics than it has been getting. We just need to stir ourselves a bit more!

Awesome shot, Jiko! :D

Thanks! It was an awesome situation :D No thunderstorms until now this year. Still it's "just lightning".

Just caught up with this assignment and all I can say it was very difficult to pick just one from so many great entries. Well done all!

Lots of good photos here.

Also, in regards to the time limits I'd say 1 year is reasonable. It gives everyone access to all the seasons in their area while keeping it current.

Thanks for the votes and these two positive comments Guys ... appreciated! That shot of the deer against the misty dawn landscape was one of those rare moments that are seldom repeated, it is one of my best and a classic example of being at the right place at the right time with a camera to haned.

I'm setting TREE as the task, I thought OPTIMAN's entry for May was great and I discovered in the thread of members' suggestions for topics that tree was put forward as a proposal ... it seemed to me that IO was pushing at an open door.

COMPOSITION and LIGHT is the name of the game as far as TREE is concerned, I bet there are some fantastic and dramatic shots to be had out there .... get stuck in Gang!

Mike
