Hi everyone! Welcome to April's Assignment!
The theme for this month is "Commercial photography", as suggested by Lensbaby who won the February 2012
competition. Be sure to read the whole post for the rules.
In Lensbaby's own words:
"The on-assignment subject I have chosen is “commercial photography.” (I can almost hear the groans.) In
all likelihood there will be a time in your career when you will be called upon to do a commercial shoot. If
you’re getting paid it’s almost all commercial though, right? In this instance, I am focusing on print work,
or ad work, as seen in magazines. The field is wide open, automotive, fashion, fragrance, travel, location,
jewelry, beverages, food, hotel, restaurant, bridal, wildlife for zoo or nature publication, so you can only be
limited by your imagination. If you have photo editing software, please add text to enhance your ad. If you
do not, a simple explanation will be acceptable. It doesn’t have to be a factory or a gear, or a tractor for
commercial work, but it can be. Looking forward to seeing what everyone does with this assignment. Please
take your time and do something you would be proud to present in your portfolio. As far as editing, any and
all photo manipulation is acceptable, but keep in mind, less is usually more.
