Wow, could not have timed this one any better since i'm going on a road a BIG trip. Flying from Anchorage AK to Seattle WA, then driving to El paso TX. Will be making a lot of side trips on the way.

I think the theme is about the process of travelling as opposed to the actual travel shots themselves. That's how I've interpreted it anyway!

This subject is either very narrow or very wide. It is about travel according to the dictionary so i assumed holliday pictures are not what we are looking for. But the first submission is a holliday photo.

I assume we are talking about pictures about a man walking down a road, a taxi, a train, someone riding a bike etc????

Can someone enlighten us.

Yes it seems pretty clear. This assignment is about images relating to the process of travel and NOT images "of far flung places".

Just got my entry in. Rather similar to popo's shot, coincidentally, but I hope you like it nonetheless.

Keep those shots coming guys!

Daisy... Beautiful. I love it. If you win, you should do the counter part of your last assignment, low-key. That month was by far the most I've had to work for an assignment. I guess this is a much delayed thank-you :-D

Thanks guys, it was one of those fluky, snatched, opportunist things that just came off. I'm amazed that the camera metering coped with the harsh lighting while retaining some shadow detail.

HI guys! Im new to photography and have got an SLR about 2 months ago. I would like to submit a picture to the contest. The rules say it has to be 1024 pixels wide?? How do I ensure this as when I look up the info of my pictures alot of them are 3000X4000 range?? I had a few ones I liked and wanted to pick one from our recent trip to NYC

Could someone explain how I change the pixels down, or did it have to be done when taking the picture?

Thanks for the help!

Greg

Fot that easy kind of stuff I use the freeware program IrfanView (in my opinion even viewing pictures is better with that program than with the windows standard one) - with that program you can easily adjust the size: "Image" --> "Resize/Resample" and then you can set the size.

Thanks for the info, I thing I figured it out!

One more question: is it open to voting when the month is over, or how to we go about voting for our favorite?

Yes, as soon as the month is over (maybe one day later or so) a poll will be added to the thread and then you can vote for 20 days or so.
