Oh - that's a great assignment. I guess I'll post a shot this month. I have an idea, yet.

I'm in! My photo this month is a bit of an interesting composition, I wanted to have water or some sort of liquid splashing from the cream pourer, so I was constantly dropping little marbles into it trying to get just what I wanted. The splash didn't come out as noticeable as I wanted it to, but it got the job done. The post processing was also a bit strange, I (still) can't get Photoshop working so all of the work was done in GIMP.
I'm off camping down south of the border tomorrow, and I won't be back for about another week or so. After that I'll only be at home a few days before flying out to Toronto for a week, so I wanted to quickly get my entry in before time ran out.

I added a picture of the wheels of an old steam train and added a sephia effect. Not really that much post processing was done. Just setting black & white control point, high pass filter and sephia photo effect. Thats it. Then converted and resized to srgb jpg for the web. i hope you like it. I own a DLSR for just 2 months or so i am not very good yet but i think it looks pretty good.

I don't think I really want to be posting photos on here anymore, so I'd like it withdrawn.

By here do you mean the Assignment or CL? Care to share why not?

All cleared up by Bob, so please count me back 'in'. Just a little spat regarding editing of photos by other forum member, Trevor.

dubaiphil, that's an outstanding job you did on the processing with a great subject capture and composition. Well done.

I'm also really liking that image by Marko Brutus. Looks like it was done with a pinhole camera and the scratches really give that sense of age and a time of lesser technology.

Bakica, that is a beautiful image of the Granny in the chair. It has a lovely calm and pensive feel about it. Nice light too!
