I dont know about foreign country's but in the US most all high schools and some middle schools require a minimum number of community service hours in order to graduate. (my school requires 80!)And i thought, instead of doing the lame tedious tasks, most people do, why dont i see if the athletic director who only has time to shoot the varsity games will let me get hours for JV and Freshman Games. My parents who know him very well asked him and he was completely up for it. :D

So he gave me a field pass and everything and he says i can get hours for shooting all of the JV and Freshman games :D So now i am stoked i dont have to do anymore boring cleaning and stuff

BTW: he shoots with a Canon MkII and primarily a 70-20mm f/2.8 IS :D

Hey dryan2,

Great idea but why not do both? You can have fun with the photography, make a real difference to someone's life with the less fun tasks, improve yourself as a person and, of course, end up with an even better c.v. for the future.

Bob.

Sounds exciting!
I'm still hoping my sports teacher will allow me to take my camera along to sports day, so I don't have to participate in all the activity (I'm not very fond of sports) but can just shoot some photos...
Here in Holland, we don't have to spend hours on community service. Might be fun, if you find a nice thing to do. Like you did! :D

This is why I love the UK.

No community service required for uni.

Just get decent grades, thats all that matters here.
