On Tuesday (when I get the money)

I am going to be ordering the Canon 200 EG SLR backpack (link) and a Giottos Rocket Air Blower (link) from B&H.

is there anyway to go through the Price Grabber to get to B&H?

Then after I manage to save up an aditional 89 dollars or so (102 tax+shipping) I am going to get a Vivitar 285HV flash!!!! and then after I save up some more I'll get a cactus V2s transmitter/receiver. I will have the flash and the accessories hopefully before October-ish, I'd really like to have it by the end of summer, which will require me getting a job, or doing a lot of odd jobs.

Jake

I bought a book as well, the Photography Guide to portrait by professional photographer John Freeman. I already have Light, Composition and Landscapes and learned a lot from those. They're all great books!

Think Daniel is building up quite a collection there now.... you ain't thinking of opening your camera shop are you.
I can see it now your driving up the A92 in the middle of nowhere and you see these bright white angels appear out of the gloom that are hovering over this building with the name of the shop all lit up in blue neon "Devine Cameras" Lowest Camera Prices In The Area

Just splurged and got the following:

- SB-600 Speedlight,
- Samsung 2493HM 24" 1920x1200 DVI/HD monitor [PC Pro 'A' List June '08: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/labs/206889/samsung-syncmaster-2493hm.html ]
- PowerColor HD 2600 PRO 512MB DDR2 Dual DVI HDCP HDTV Graphics Card
- Nikon D300 Field Guide

My PC had a cheapo graphics card on the motherboard which shared the main system memory - now I've added a dedicated video card the whole system has speeded up a lot. :D

THe monitor came with calibration software too - not sure that I know what I'm doing with this but it may be handy in future.

Looking at Cameralabs forum on the new monitor is fantastic but I'm going to have to reign my spending in for a little while - the missus just asked me how much it all cost

Unfortunately the Nikon 50mm F/1.4 is going to have to wait :(
When I took up photography I didn't have a clue how expensive it was going to be!

Just bought 2x 1TB Samsung HD103UJ SATAII drives for my data. One for the originals and one for backup. Just a tad above 200 EUR (both!).
Should not only increase capacity but also increase performance as my "old" 0.5TB drives are getting >80% full.
Now I swap my 250GB system-drives out, clone the 0.5 TB data-drives onto the 1TB drives and use the 0.5TB drives as system-drives. Just waiting to reinstall the complete system with a fresh copy of Windows XP professional incl. SP3 (also bought new - didn't dare to switch to Vista for only 30EUR more :? ).

Thomas, good decision to stick with XP - never mind the cost, Vista is truly appalling. I've got it on two laptops and the only thing stopping me taking it off is the length of time it would take! XP is much better and what I use for my main PC. (Sorry a bit off topic...)
