Your images of Dubai will make a great coffee table book Phil.

EvanK- I had a ball head for my Gorrila Pod SLR but ditched it in the end. I didnt like how heavy it felt and found I could get the camera where I needed it to be with out it. Hope you find it more useful than I did

Brought a Lowe Pro AW200 bag and a E-TTL coiled lead last night.

Think I've made a mistake with the bag though, should have got the bigger AW300

Nikon 16-35 F4 AF-S VR

Going to Rome again, so bougnt this. I couldn't justify getting the 14-24 and having it sit around afterwards, so at least with this, I know it's a more versatile piece of kit, so will see more use. That it it takes filters, and if I do decide to use it for landscapes (quite likely), the VR could come in handy, and if not, then I'll be using it with flash. Shame it won't be as sharp across the frame or as wide as the 14-24, but that's something I can live with, I think.

Congrats Gregory,

I also ons one. It might indeed not be as good as the 14-24, but it's a lot morw usefull. The VR is a dream, using f10 for getting everything in focus, hand held and low iso.

Hey, it arrived. It's definetly a keeper. A shame it's got a plastic outer shell, compared to the metal of the f2.8 N/G zooms. Also they include a material carry bag, come on, no proper case, like with the 24-70/70-200? Anyway, I've got my second trip to Rome this sunday for four nights so will post some pics in the lens gallery when I get back. This time I'm going with the 16-35 F4 VR, 50 1.8D, and 300 f2.8 AI for any street candid shots. This thing focuses down to 4 metres so should be ok all the same. Maybe I'll do a brenizer shot if I feel I need a bit more space in the shot. Last time I also took the lowepro slingshot 100aw. Big mistake. It's a sling bag, and all the weight was on one shoulder. This time am going with a back pack, so should be better off weight wize, even if I'm carrying more weight than last time.

Well, my Gateway crashed on me and I had no chance of bringing it back. Thankfully, I backed up all my files on an external hard drive. But after the crash I purchased an Asus U46E-BAL5. Loving it so far.

iPhone 4s 32gb. It's a big upgrade from my old 3gs! Had a chance to try out the camera whilst I was out without my DSLR and I was surprisingly impressed with it :D

Op/Tech rain sleeve to cover my DSLR and lens in case of a storm. Of course, ever since I bought it, it's stopped raining. :?

By the way, isn't Op/Tech the same manufacturer that makes the ever-so excellent Cameralabs strap?

A cheap $5 chorded Lenovo mouse. My Logitech's been giving my the BSOD, but Logitech isn't letting me install the new drivers for some reason. Grrr, these are the times where I wish that I was a Mac user...
