Santana: Incident at Neshabur (Abraxas). Nice variantions in tempo, nice jazzy touch, complex rythms (one of them must be 11/5 or something like that  ), nice chill-out part at the end :) :) :)

I take it you caught her set when she stood in for Alicia Keys on "Later" a couple of weeks ago? There is a pre-performance interview with her on this BBC page. 8)

Regarding your Eva Cassidy choice - have you heard the song by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole? It's called "Somewhere over the rainbow & What a wonderful world", and it's breathtaking.

Available you know where

Oops just noticed your question. Not heard that version.

The song is very close to my heart :D :D :D

Cheers Ormina

I have a somewhat schizophrenic taste in music.

One day it's Patsy Kline - the "Walking After Midnight" album

The day after it's Shirley Bassey - pretty much everything.

Then it's on with Lamb of God's "Killadeplhia"

And then I turn to some if DJ Tiesto's remixes.

...then some live Motorhead

...then some of the spanish guitar music John McLaughlin, Paco De Luca etc.

...Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Hallucinogen...

..yes I need therapy..

I hope you have the "Tiesto - In Concert" DVD. Awesome! And I've just noticed that "Tiesto - Elements Of Life (Copenhagen 2008)" is due out shortly. The big question is whether to get the DVD or go straight to Blu-ray when I upgrade next year. 8)

UPDATE: I've just caught this YouTube clip. Can't possibly wait for 2009 so the DVD it is. Due out tomorrow. 8) 8) 8)

Oh yeah..Tiesto is God! lol.
Arman Van Buren is pretty good too.

Nothing picks me up better at the office than hitting youtube and cranking up some Tiesto (power mix is amazing) and full throttle, when not in meeting.

Hardcore trance can be very energizing too. The Germans and the Dutch have techno down pat I think. Not sure if they have it any more, but there used to be a week-long festival in Berlin (I think it was there) where everything techno was celebrated and played loud. Always wanted to go there - the "Woodstock" for technophiles..lol.

And to think of the photo-ops there at night with a D3 huh?

Cheers :-)

I think this is what you are thinking of - 120 days to go! Heck, wish I was 30 years younger. :x
