Jeffrey Smart has died at the age of 91. I am posting this on a photographic based forum because his paintings always look a bit like a photograph to me. I am actually not into paintings, but I have always liked his work. His pictures and lines just draw you in and tell a story, like any good photograph.

if you google Jeffrey Smart search Images you will see what I mean.

Hadn't heard of Jeffrey Smart before, but his paintings do indeed have a photo-like quality to them. Some of his work is even a bit like street photography:

Rest in peace Jeffrey.
