Congradulations to the winner but the post title is a bit misleading... at least ot me with english being my second language. As stated it implies a NZ photographer won an award on a larger scale than NZ when in fact it was a NZ award awarded to best photographer in NZ. Also from the brief writeup it reads to me like it is actually an Ausie who moved to NZ a few years back so in actuality its an ausie photographer if that is even where she waas born but she is definately not native to NZ having only lived there for 8 years.

Im not trying to be a pain just trying to clarify how it reads to me.

No it wasn't me and it is a nz photographer from queenstown that won. I actually didn't really like the winning entry... But it's still a local win.

Jackie Ranken co-authored the book and won the competition. So there is a tentative link with the forum.

Congratulations to Jackie

:D

Yep, the winner was Jackie Ranken, a personal friend of mine who lives in Queenstown.

Wolfsong, you have something in common with her: I've published books by both of you!
