I got press credentials to go to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. They claim on their site to be the largest balloon show in the world.
So here is the gear I have to carry with me:
T2i/550D and 40D body
Sigma 18-125, Canon 35 f/2, Tameron 70-300, Canon 55-250
I want to keep both bodies ready and I'm trying to figure which should be primary and secondary. I'll be shooting at all times of the day starting at 5:45am and ending well after 8-pm. I know I will need my 35 f/2 for the low light stuff handy. Otherwise I don't have any good low-lighters.
Which would be the better body? I know the T2i is newer but a lower model-class camera than the 40D. I really like the 40D with making quick settings changes and have been surprised with some of the pics with the 40D and 55-250 lens.
I really really really wanted to hire a 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II but just can't make it happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my 5D II with 24-105L shows before I go but I'm not holding out on that. I begged and have not got confirmation but they "may" have ordered a 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II also
