I think this is worth spreading guys and girls!

KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

HOW TO HELP:
Join TRI or Donate to Invisible Children: http://bit.ly/yp5Ffv
Purchase KONY 2012 products: http://invisiblechildrenstore.myshopify.com/
Sign the Pledge: http://www.causes.com/causes/227-invisible-children

Also, it's good that some people on the Internet are critical regardless.

Thanks for including the critical tumblr link. I've done some of my own research and don't like what they're doing:

Kony isn't the main villain in Uganda anymore
Only ~23% of your donation will actually go to Uganda, the rest will go to making these fancy films.
Spreading a video isn't the real activism most people think it is.
The part of the donations that actually reach Uganda are for the Uganda miltary, which is known for rapes and murder...

As Citruspers indicated, the truth is actually much more complex, and over time, the situation on the ground has changed considerably from the story presented in the video. Of course, this character is a horrible villain; I am not trying to say otherwise.

As detestable as Kony may be, I find this to be just another viral video. All that's different is that it's got some political and financial support.

The video does make its point of making the Invisible Children visible but like already said, I think the video simplifies an extremely complex problem almost to the point of portraying Kony as a parody/caricature of the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I seriously doubt that Kony's capture or killing will make that big a difference as I'm sure he has lieutenants to continue his dirty work.
