Maybe it's your internet connection.
What speed do you have?

I allways get timed out errors when i upload large image files.

If i am uploading photos of less than 2mb in size ...no issue..anything larger..problem.

I have tried the Flickr upload tool and widget, tried the conventional uploader and drag and drop. Its a shame but i htink the issue is at Flickr not with ISP. My upload speed is just shy of 1mb and download speed is 5-10mb variable.

I have no issue uploading to FB or deviant art.

Are you running any firewall or anti-virus software that could be blocking access?

Thanks for the responses, I did try a single pic yesterday @ 500kb and got the same response, timed out. Today it was ok and uploaded 6 pretty quick.

Not sure if it was Flickr or my ISP, I’ve never had trouble with my ISP as they are reliable and the reason why I’m with them,

Thanks again.

Cheers

It could be the connection between Australia / New Zealand and the Flickr servers, wherever they are located.

You can try contacting your ISP and Flickr technical support. If the connection between Australia / New Zealand is a slower connection it could cause timeouts when uploading larger files.

Is anyone else from that area of the world having Flickr problems?
