I have an image at Flickr. I tried following a tutorial posted by Thomas here on the Cameralabs forum, which I kept displayed on my iPad, as I used my netbook to try to post the image. When the Flickr image did not behave as Thomas indicated it should, I tried several work-arounds, but finally stopped.

The image itself is not very good, having been shot with a mobie phone, but I figured if I could make it work, I would try to load more and better images at Flickr. Instead, I may try Picasa. popo started a recent discussion of Picasa, which I found encouraging. There is a book I have seen at a local bookseller, on the subject of Picasa for senior citizens. Well, I have reached the age of fifty, so perhaps I should swallow my pride and a read a book written to help old folks with digital images.

Thanks for the offer of help, but it will probably be next weekend, if then, before I have time to try anything again.

High Rexgig,

if you use Flickr try the following:

When viewing your Flickr stream click the photo that you want to share.
To the left upper corner of the picture you will see some buttons like "Actions" "Mail" symbol ...
In this corner click the "Share" button. From the drop down menu first select "Grab the HTML/BBCode".
Then select the picture size and make sure the checkbox next to "BBCode" is activated.
Now you only have to copy the window content above the picture size and paste itinto the thread you want to post it in.

Hope that helps!

Edited to remove another failure.

Thanks for the advice. Presumably, there is something I do not know that I do not know.

I will try to give you more detailed instructions:

Image

When viewing your Flickr stream click the photo that you want to share.
To the left upper corner of the picture you will see some buttons like "Actions" "Mail" symbol ...
In this corner click the "Share" button. Then:

1: From the drop down menu first select "Grab the HTML/BBCode".
2: Then select the picture size and
3: make sure the checkbox next to "BBCode" is activated.
4: Copy the code inside the box. Note: By clicking once inside this window all the code should be marked.

Now go to cameralabs forum and reply to some post:

Image

5: Paste the text box that copied from FlickR before into your reply.
6: Make sure that you have the same settings activated.

All the Best

Matthias

Matthias, thanks for the tutorial. I had thought that is what I had done at the Flickr site.
