Cool cameras Antony and popo, congrats. I spent a couple of hours shooting with the X100s last weekend and I really enjoyed it.

Just bought a copy of Peter Sekaer's Signs of Life. Not my most interesting photo book to be honest, but the print quality by Steidl is superb and it was only €9.99 at the bookstore (it's almost $50 on Amazon).

I caved in. I've been on Lightroom 3 and an illegal copy of Photoshop 6. I bought the Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 $9.99 monthly photography plan

Sold two university books on statistics and organizational theory and used the money to purchase Jimmy Nelson's "Before They Pass Away". I'll save the book till my graduation day, but I can tell from this video that it's going to be amazing:

That video is a definite must-see by the way.

Oh, I caved in as well. I've been using Photoshop CS5 for years (and still on CS5 since I couldn't afford CS5.5 and CS6) with NO Lightroom (couldn't afford Lightroom either), and still using it.
Recently, I subscribed to the Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 $9.99 promotional plan, but haven't even downloaded the software yet. I don't rush for the latest.

A Peli-Storm case iM2950 with dividers.

I won't be traveling down the Amazon, trekking through Borneo or climbing Everest any time soon, I've just got somewhere to store all my kit securely in one place now! 8)

William Klein's book on Paris. I must admit I am not a big fan of William Klein, but since I am meeting him in Amsterdam next week I had to get a book to get signed. Got it for a great price too, so it's a good investment.

For all Dutchies or Klein fans: there is a retrospective exhibition opening in Amsterdam's FOAM photography museum, and Klein will be present on the opening night (19th of December).

After I successfully defended my master thesis last Wednesday (I graduated cum laude), my parents surprised me with this wonderful gift (!). They also gave me a set of fancy pens, which are meant to be a more long term memory of my graduation. iPad is all set up with my favorite pictures, and a whole bunch of games that I can play over the holidays.

iPad Mini (Retina), 16GB Wifi

Also gave myself an early Christmas present: two signed books by my favorite photographer Elliott Erwitt. Bought these on the Magnum Photos store at just a little more than what Amazon sells them for (but without a signature).

I also went to Amsterdam last week to attend the opening of William Klein's retrospective exhibition, and picked up the book on the left. It's not new, but in great condition, and only cost €17,50. Copies in similar condition go for about 100 GBP on Amazon, so I had to buy it. The magazine featuring William Klein was a gift from the photography museum in Amsterdam.

All in all, it seems like Christmas has come early for me this year. :D
