Good point. The main tube (not the extended dew shield) houses a 140mm diameter objective so one could loosely say that the tube diameter is about six inches.

I got my first look through it this evening. It is intended primarily for photography but I got a great view of Hyginus Rille, Jupiter and the Trapezium in M42. 8)

Well, I didn't buy it, the Army just issued me a Canon 40D, 55-250 lens, and a 430EX II flash for my new Public Affairs job

WexPro 80cm Light Cube with 5 different color backgrounds

Thanks, Radu. It's a lifelong ambition fulfilled and it will see me out though I'll have to invest in a permanent shelter eventually. The 'scope isn't too bad but the mounting is heavy.

Hey John,

It is just the unit PAO rep at Battalion level not a re-class yet. But I do get a couple of classes out of it. The actual PAO guys I'm working with say that 46Q Public Affairs Specialist is a critical MOS right now. It's not a 25V Combat Documentation Production Spec (Combat Camera) But you do get to take pictures and it doesn't have color-blind restrictions like 25V

"Used" Lowepro Fastpack 350 that was definitely not really used. You know all those notes put on new stuff with some wire? They were still there. It looks perfectly new and I got it for about half the price.

Yeah!

That thing is much better than my old bag - it's slightly bigger (I can put my 12-24mm into my main compartment and put a second body in the upper part of the bag. It feels more robust, the weight lies on two shoulders, not just one and I can carry around a laptop in it! 15,6" - although they say it can even take 17" ones.

Congratulation, Brian!

After careful consideration of my 2012 budget, I finally bought a Canon 135mm 2.0L lens. I had considered a 5D2, or a 24-70mm 2.8L, but elected to get a 580EXII earlier this month, and this 135L.

Wow - that's some nice stuff here on that page. Congratulations!

My stuff is a bit less expensive in comparison; I just ordered:
- Micro fibre cloth
- Pentax sensor cleaner
