Certain erm... discussions pop up now and then, sometimes more often that others. Here's a few of the more popular ones, but which one is the biggest?

I would say "High MP or not", because for example Canon vs Nikon is just a pissing contest when it gets out of hand, on a normal level we all agree that both/all companies offer different qualities.

I voted zoom vs. Prime. To me it all depends on the type of photography you shoot and for me, 99.9% of my shooting is with primes. Everything else, to me, is a win/loss thing. Canon and Nikon both serve their functions, Apple vs. PC both serve their functions and you will always get people arguing about that. But for me, at least personally, its the people who use zoom lenses for street photography or something like that. Annoys the hell out of me.

/end rant

I voted for Canikon (vs everyone else). I think it's the most divisive photography debate among fanboys/fangirls.

Has to be Canon v's Nikon, it's what most people ask when buying the first DSLR.

Most of us chose one of the two brands and as we are using one of those systems (or maybe both in a few cases) it's not so relevant. I went for the mega pixel discussion ;)

I guess I don't read enough tech-related photo forums/websites anymore, but for the time that I did I'd say it was JPEG vs RAW...

Why not including Trolling? Jk

It seems to be Canikon war is a Traditional Argument in most Photo Forum for a very long time. Now these day the trend are more towards EVIL & MFT which are hot trending Topic & endless debate. :)

these topics come and go, often depending on what camera`s been released. What is apple?

For beginners, I think Canon vs Nikon VS Sony VS the rest, consistently pops up the most. Most people tend to focus on the body not the lenses that you buy into.
raw vs jpg.
Zoom vs prime.
how much PP is also a good one, too much saturation, contrast and sharpness. Often starts a debate on a birdforum that I frequent.

then another one IS/OS/VR or fast lens. typical f4 IS vs 2.8
to hdr or not?

It really depends on whether its beginners or more experienced people posting. Photography takes you on a bit of a journey, as you become more experienced you question different things

This is not really on topic
Are you brand loyalty when buying a P&S or do you by the same as your DSLR ?

For me, most could apply depending on what time of month it is but they are not an issue. Shooters buy their gear for their needs and interests. Having bought Nikon, I don't care what other camera makers do as all models will be obsolete as technology continues. PP is a personal thing.

Just enjoy what you do 8) .

Cheers

Gotta be Canon vs. Nikon, there are always so many posts asking, "600D/550D or D5100", generally DSLR newbies asking whether they should go for the Nikon or Canon entry level system, and it always ends up with us just telling them to try each camera out in the store and see which one has the better ergonomics for them (there's an idea for a sticky post in the "buying a camera but undecided on brand" section, tell them up front that ergonomics are what it generally comes down to). Of course, both the Canon and Nikon systems have their advantages, Canon has a broader selection of telephoto lenses while Nikon makes some excellent primes and wide angle lenses. The discussion's going to go on forever...

Following that, I'd have to say RAW vs. JPEG, zoom vs. prime and the amount of MP needed.

Thought of another one for the list technique vs kit (or skill vs wallet size) some folks will claim you can great a great shot with any kit whilst other say as long as you have good kit you can have a poorer skill set.
