Some might remember me saying I found a roll of film in an old camera I had. I never got round to getting it processed until last week, and today I had the call it was ready. Curiosity was hard to resist so I picked it up. I found 6 shots, two of which were my car. The other 4 were this:
A quick stitch in photoshop with further tweaking gave this:
This does raise some big questions. When was this? The photos of my car were outside my old rented flat, which puts it around 10-12 years ago. It was snowing at the time, so would have been a cold winter. These shots were taken after that.
To put another estimator on the date, when did I get my 1st digital camera? It was an unbranded one of
these. That review was written almost 12 years ago! So the 10-12 year estimate is still in the right ball park.
An interesting point: I was trying to take a stitched panorama, before I even knew of the existence of software to put that together.
The other unknown is where this is exactly. The road on the left shows cars driving on the right, so this is not in the UK. Probably somewhere in Europe. The buildings on each end of the shot look similar. I think they might be different parts of the same building I was in at the time. My only guess is this might be the hotel I stayed in when visiting Euro Disney on a work trip. But that doesn't explain why I didn't take more photos while there. Why didn't I take more photos after this?
So while part of the questions have been closed, it has open up a new ones...
