Microsoft have released camera raw file codecs for windows 7 64 bit (and 32, but that was already kind of supported by an older version). This allows you to see thumbnails of your raw files in explorer etc as well as open them in windows viewer...

Works for Canon, Nikon, Sony etc and can be downloaded here:-
