Well, Katie in my photography class is interested in getting one - and asked me for advice...now I know a fair bit about DSLR's but thats getting a little out of my territory.

IF anyone could provide any help on which would be a ok one to buy, not sure if they come with zoom or anything though...Also, she hasn't given me a budget or w/e, but is probably going to buy one of ebay if its cheaper.

Thanks :)

Hi Daniel,

I think we're all stunned into silence by that one. Wouldn't it be cheaper and more flexible to get a portable photo-printer to match up with a PictBridge enabled camera?

Bob.

Well, she said a DSLR (E-410, or D40) wouldn't fit in her handbag (typical lol) and she just wanted the Polaroid for the effect, you know the whole taking them out pinning them up kind of experience.

It probably would be cheaper with a descent point and shoot, but she has entrusted me with finding out about them, but since I've had revision for exams starting 21st time is sort of short for my long trawls on the Internet for information.

I couldn't help but laugh at "I think we're all stunned into silence by that one." I kind of had a feeling someone would comment on the lack or response haha!

Don't believe Daniel... have you seen the size of their handbags these days, both my partner and her daughter have handbags big enough to swallow any DSLR on the market including a 1Ds.

Yeah, actually she had one like that with her to photography on Friday!

I mentioned that fact to her - but it has to fit in "all" her handbags - some being tiny :)
