I think I can start a hangout with extras, which should allow screen sharing without any additional software - lets give it a shot next time...

Thanks for the "ManyCam" link, Bjorn. It should allow me to use my D7000 as webcam for the next hangout.

All thanks to Stephen Evan!

Hangout with Extras didn't work too well when I first tried it, I think my connection may be too slow... Let's give it a go and I might have to pop in and out a number of times.

Let me know when you want to test it Bjorn, I'll probably be online this evening. With a bit of luck, you can even see me devour a pizza

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder for our next G+ hangout.

Sunday 9th October, 8:15pm GMT.

That's 4pm, Eastern Time USA.

That's 9:15am on Monday 10th in NZ.

I'm going to try and do a hangout with extras so we can discuss some of our photos.

Please choose one or two of your photos you'd like to discuss in the hangout. Either something you're proud of, something you'd like us to critique, or something you've had problems with and wanted advice over.

You can of course still join the hangout even if you don't have a photo to share or discuss!

As always, start checking your G+ stream which contains me at around 8:15pm GMT on Sunday!

Gordon

I will be there, looking forward to it! I've never done a hangout, can I check my A/V settings with one of you beforehand?

Looking forward to todays hangout, just got back from Ireland.

The graphic card in my computer was on the verge of dying when I left and is now nearly toast, gives me artifacts during boot and in Windows which results in ATI drivers crashing the system with a BSOD message.
I do have a small EEE laptop with a webcam which I am going to try setting up though, hopefully I can get it going!

Citruspers, I need to do some testing today also, have some work to be done first so I will be trying out the EEE later in the day.

Wish that I could come, but I'm a bit preoccupied :( It's Thanksgiving tomorrow here in Canada, but family generally comes over Sunday to avoid late nights on a day before work (everybody gets Monday off). I'll try to make it next week, sorry guys!

Unsure if I will be able to make it tomorrow. I am home for the weekend which means I am with family. I will attempt but I make no promises! If I can't show up, I hope everyone has fun! :)

Cheers!

Hi everyone, our next hangout will be at:

Sunday 16 October 8PM GMT

That's 4PM Eastern USA, or 9am on Monday morning, NZ time.

Pick a photo or two you'd like to discuss, either to show us a technique / style, or for critique!

See you later!

Gordon

I've been busy all weekend long, I haven't even found the time to log onto Cameralabs. I'll try to be there next week, I feel guilty that I haven't come in a while!
