Same as Dingo, I never leave my gear unattended in the car. If I had to leave it in the car, I'd lock it up in the trunk where it was out of anybody's sight.

Sorry, just remembered this thread.

I checked with our existing home/contents insurer & i'm fully covered in the home (any single item up to £12k) outside cover is only for £2k per item though, so added the lens seperately @ a cost of £90.
Not cheap I suppose, but takes the worry away.

Just thought i'd mention it incase anyone PRESUMES their cover is the same for items in the home, as well as away from it.
