Wet? I think I am envious! We are in a record-breaking drought, made all the worse because this is the second year for a dry Winter and Spring. This is the wet, green corner of Texas, but not last year or this year. I have missed the wildflowers and blooming trees. The air is quite humid, with the breezes from the Gulf of Mexico, but conditions rarely trigger that moisture to fall to the ground.

Yes, I think I am envious! I want to photograph flowers and insects and spiders and birds, but they are largely dormant or have flown away.

Wet isn't so good if you're stood in it without rainproof clothing or even a hat. I did have an umbrella but it was not practical to use while shooting.

I think my kit has more or less dried out now...

Just finished editing photos from yesterdays Village Day. Was the official photographer for the VIP guest Christopher Biggins! Very funny man who was amazing to work with.

P.S Exams are over and am working on the first of my reviews which is of the Lowepro ProRunner 450aw

Will also be doing reviews of the Canon 24-105L and 50mm 1.4 in the near future

Looking forward to reading your review of the Pro Runner 450 AW :). Would love to have either that one or the Pro Trekker 600 AW, but can't afford another backpack (already have got a CompuTrekker AW - the predecessor of the Pro Runner 350 AW) AND a Lowepro Street & Field modular carrying system...:(.

Please do include a lot of photographs :)...I'm particularly interested in the harness (i.e. the shoulder straps and the padded waist belt) and the SlipLock attachment loops on the bag itself and on the harness.

Love my camera! Went to the Three Barons Renaissance Fair in Anchorage yesterday. Still have a lot to learn though like do not wear sunglasses it takes away from trying to check your composition.

@Joris Van den Berghe have done lots of pictures of what it can fit in it and all the compartments. Will definitely do some of the straps but I can tell you know they are very well padded and strong. So far haven't done anything on the sliplock attachments as don't have any but will sort something out.

E.T.A = 4 days :D

Well, I'd really appreciate seeing some good quality pictures of the shoulder straps as well as the padded waist belt :).

There isn't any picture of the Pro Runner 450's waist belt on Lowepro's website, but the 350 AW is very similar so I suspect there must be a couple of SlipLock attachment loops on the waist belt on the 450 AW as well, just like on the shoulder straps really.

Do they know how old I am? :lol:

The reason I'm thinking that is that I've just won, with 23 other winners, a bit-tech/Asus competition where I'll "get to meet Asus’ engineers, play the latest games and overclock next-gen Asus motherboards". Bet I'll be the only greybeard there (literally) but at least, as some compensation for the sideways looks I'll no doubt get, the prize also includes free hardware. Hope it isn't a mouse-mat as I use a trackball! :roll: :lol: :lol:

Bob.

Congrats! To you as well Bob!

Thanks John! :wink:

Did some saving progress estimations, seems I'll be a little short if I want to get the M9 during my Christmas break. Will be sorted out though, I'm gonna shoot New Year's with it! #stickingtogoals #icandoit #saving #leica
