I thought that this may be fun, a little photo challenge to guess what the image is.

Here's how it works: somebody will post an image of an everyday person, place or thing but from a different perspective, disguising it as something different or giving it a whole new look. People will try to guess what it is, and the first person to answer correctly gets to post the image(s) for the next challenge, which they will determine the subject of, so on and so forth.

If after a while nobody's guessed it, the person will give a much more obvious clue, and the challenge continues.

As some basic rules, please don't give the same answer as somebody else if they've already guessed. Also, you're only allowed to guess more than once until there's another clue or a new subject. You're allowed to change your answer, permitting that somebody else has responded since you have.

I'll start. here's the first subject, can you guess what it is?

Good luck and have fun!

Yes, this is still on.

Looks like shaunr got it, pics from a carwash. He'll be next up to choose the subject and post the images.

Also, as a side note, I'd like the subject poster to sent a message to the winner after they answer correctly.

Thanks

Not SOO common but can't say I've been through a car wash in the last 3 years or so though.

Well this shot is obviously outside - I can see tree silhouettes in the backround. I presume the rounded shadow is a nozzle from which a flame is coming from - so I'm gonna guess a blowtorch of some sort.

I honestly am baffled, it looks like your doing this late in the evening, perhaps lighting fireworks?

How long until I'm allowed to help? There's been a close one or two but there was with the first one too and Evan didn't cave.

K...the diameter of the base of the flame is +/-40mm. Some of it like 90% of people should have in their house and the rest everyone should have.

its not one of those homemade potato guns, you use hairspray or whatever to fire it?
