1 expensive hobby at a time please rofl!

I just spent all my cash on new camera equitment, I've no money for Sennheiser headphones, although I would love a pair :D

Although I doubt Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy and Daft Punk are going to have FLAC files on the net (well ones that arn't from MP3 or CD anyway) (and obviously not them, but others uploading them) so half the stuff I listen to would probably not be available in true FLAC, which is a shame.

As for PC Soundcards, they use up my PCI Bus, which I keep clear for my Graphics Card :) Onboard 7.1 is fine for my cheap £20 headset with mic :)

I do want to try out one of these Cowons, so if I ever see you Zorro out and about I'll be sure to grab a listen :P

Fall out boy & Daft Punk are available aslossless. I know, I have the full Daft Punk catalogue

As for meeting up, you never can tell. Ironc that we live so relatively close to each other and yet never meet.

Hi Thomas, you got 595's too? If so I'd be interested in your appraisal of them as I'm considering having them re-wired with better cable. Either that or I might go for a really good set of IEM's like Ultimate Ears or something.

Let me know what you think.

The ipod especially the touch is a very well-rounded device for those who don't need absolute sound quality.

Well Zorro, I absolutely hate two things: in-ear phones and closed headphones. But then, I'm not running around with an MP3-player.
So I have no experience with other phones than the 595, sorry!

Thomas, can I ask why you hate in-ear headphones?

Some of my friends complain the apple ones don't fit right in their ears...but for me I've not had a pair of in-ears yet that doesn't fit :) (Not saying they were all good quality though LOL!)

The ones that artists use on stage for feedback...I've seen them on the apple store (or at least they look exactly like them) for £400 or something crazy like that :o

1. I don't like the feeling in my ear
2. I don't like how they damp the ambient sound
3. I have probs finding ones that fit
4. They get greasy

In-ear headphones can feel a bit awkward and annoying at first but you get used to them after a while. To me, the increase is sound quality and the reduction of ambient noise is worth the initial discomfort. I know what you mean thought Thomas.

I've seen those kind on the Shure website. They've got 3 microdrivers in each earpiece! I would like to listen to one of those. 8)

Shure!! Thats who it was lol - couldn't remember the name of the company lol! Yeah I'd love a shot as well - would no doubt be amazing 8)

As for dampening the ambient noise...thats exactly what I want lol, I don't want to hear the outside world through my headphones, else I wouldn't be listening to the music :) [aside a few situations like an airport...but soon enough they'll be able to interrupt my music over wifi and play the message that my flight is about to leave through my headphones :D]
