I think I might send my Sigma back since I prefer limiting myself to just 50mm. it makes you think your about your shot more because you can't cant' just zoom in or out to get the shot you want.

D200 + 50mm. that is what i will be working with. I might try to sell my SB-600 and 50mm so I can get a Sigma 30mm since it will be closer to a 50mm on a DX format.

but we'll see.

on your D40 just go take a picture and then look at the EXIF data at the bottom of the review and it will the number down there.

although mine recently reset and I don't know why. I am at like 2300 right now and before it reset I had about 11,000 on it.
