I did an internet search for a review on a Canon XTi, and the Cameralabs review was one of the results. I didn't join the forum, or look at it much, until I found myself having to shoot from a helicopter at night, a truly daunting task. I posted a topic on a photography sub-forum on a broad-based knife/gadget-collecting forum, and then decided to join this forum and post a topic.

Like I said in my intro thread I found this site via YouTube, initially I was trying to find information in general on DSLR cameras and I found Gordon's workshop videos.
I then looked at a few camera review videos which lead to me making a stop at the site, eventually after reading some threads I thought even tho I don't have a camera and won't have one for a while I may as well sign up and get to know you all.

Added a poll to the thread, based on a post by "Canon 500D".

Yep Bjorn, I had the idea of starting the thread last night.

I found Cameralabs through Youtube, but mainly saw Gordon commented somewhere saying that his time on Youtube was short, so use the forums, and that is when I registered.

I have enjoyed it since I joined, and there is plenty to discuss.

I found cameralabs through a friend. He was always on it looking at reviews but he never signed up to the forum. Don't think he uses the website anymore. But I am very happy with cameralabs. Great effort Gordon! :D

I was in the market for buying my first DSLR. I saw the review about it Canon T2i and I liked it. Yeah, I liked the SDLR, but I thought the review was very helpful and informative.

It all started, believe or not, with SMP films! (on youtube).
IN those times, (sometimes around making cracy coconuts videos) i was all about buying camcorder (canon hv 30 or 40). Then i saw this guys short, which was done with 5d mkII.

I dont know if sooner, or later in those times, i saw canon SX10 in shop. I runned into home for google the camera parameters, and from SX10, i was getting higher and higher in my demands.
SX10, SX1, canon 500D, nikon d5000, canon 550D, and now i got canon 60D

Funny thing, isnt it?

For nearly all those cameras, i watched Gordons videos many many times. I almost bought SX1 and 550D, but a close family member lend me more money so i was able to buy 60D ( thank you mom :D )

I cant be more happier than i can be with this camera, although i hate those 18-55 IS from the first shooting i done.

You are changing peoples lives, Gordon, did you sometimes think about it this way?

Funny that you say that, it was the same story for me. You look at one camera, and you just want more from there. For me, it was the SX20 IS, the FZ35/FZ38, the D3000, the T1i/500D, the D5000, the D90, the D200 and the D7000 finally.
