Gordon,

I just read in the news New Zealand was hit by a large Earth Quake and not knowing where you are in New Zealand I just want to send well wishes to you and hope that all is well.

We wouldn't want a fracture down one of Gordon's lenses!

But seriously hope everything's okay.

Thanks for your concern guys - the earthquake was around mid way up the North Island, and we're almost all the way at the bottom of the South Island in Queenstown, so we didn't feel it.

Sounds like the town suffered quite a lot of damage, but thankfully it doesn't sound like there were any serious casualties.

So this thread in turn begs the question, who has felt an earthquake? :)

Believe it or not, even though I live in Kent, England, we had an earthquake just this year...damaged loads of my stuff :( But luckily none of my camera equipment!! :D

Anyone else?

P.S. Good to hear all's well for you Gordon.
