Hey Gordon, you should watch your canon 400d video review again. I recently watched it again and I noticed you were way more nerveous back then than you are now (look at how fast you speak in the video :P ).

Also with that new olympus camera review I just loved your facial expression when you dropped that camera. You're so British :D It's cool :P

So hey, keep up the good work, i've been loving it so far.

Bart

Hi Bart, thanks!

I'd prefer not to watch the 400D video again though! It was actually my very first one and as you can see, it was done entirely in one take.

Hopefully you'll think they're slicker now!

Interestingly, the 400D video has been our most watched, so I can't wait to update it with a better one one of its successor early next year!

Whilst this topic is here...
I have to say the Videos are a real stand out point for this site. very useful, great length and have helped me enter the world of DSLR much smoother than would otherwise have been possible (i.e. having to listen to sales people in camera shops without really knowing what I was on about).

:D

Not as bad as listening to sales staff in shops who don't know what they're talking about. That's awful, and sadly all too typical of todays high street experience.

I also find your video's very good, useful and interesting. I prefer watching your video reviews than wading through all the review text as you can get a much more personal opinion of the device.

I was disappointed that you did not have a single review of just the Sony A100 though, you just bundled a quick overview of it in a group test.

Will you be reviewing the sony DT 18 - 250mm lens?

The videos and reviews are great and thorough. It explains alot about technical and physical aspect of the hardware.

I also like the gallery/sample pics and verdict page.

zorro, the video review on the sony A100 is a short overview bundled in with two other camera's and so there is not one single sony A100 video review which is what I was pointing out.

Fair point mate, I apologize. I must learn to actually read posts accurately.

Yeah, there is only one person in the Jessops near me who has any idea what he is talking about, but thats because he does photography at college as part of an honors degree course and he does stuff for the press.

:) He is gonna be well t'd off I didn't buy any of my new kit from jessops next time I'm in there lol!

Gordon should have an assistant on the reviews holding the camera, like on the price is right where all the ladies "butter up" the rubbish prizes like a fridge or something  lol!

Ah dear, yeah so back on topic. Reviews of some of the Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses would be nice in the future.

Remember though, Gordon does have a job, and he writes for magazines and stuff, so he has to find time to test this stuff :)

[anyone placing bets that Gordon owns his own camera shop?]

Yeah, PC world for example. How anyone comes out of there with anything resembling the correct product for them is beyond me!.... But then again that's an area I know what I talking about so pick up every inaccuracy REALLY quickly.
